Gallery is ussable only if photos are all same size - is there an option or way to keep photos proportional / to preserve aspect ratio. Could be ussable if we could define only width or height. Is there any way to manualy upload prepared photos and thumbs?

Hi,

It is not possible to add the thumb image manually , If you upload a photo the system automatically generated the thumb image for admin as well for the front end.

Thanks
Arun

Do you plan to add aspect ratio functionality? least full size photos should be proportional

Hi,

For thumb image you can set the height and width to same size but for full view the aspect ratio is automatically generated as per the photo you add.

Thanks
Arun

Ahh totally bummed. The full size image has to keep proportionate! Is this something in the plans for down the road? Maybe just define a width and not have to set both width and height? Thumbnail I can ~live with being slightly distorted, but not the enlarged image.

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes we can make the full image proportional for width by following the below steps.

Kindly go to your FTP in the following file path site->components->com_macgallery->views->images->tmpl->imagegallery.php and In imagegallery.php file remove the height property in the line number 117. Now you can set the width in admin and height is automatically generated for full view.

Thanks
Arun
