How To Integrate Social Login In Magento

As social networks have become part of our life, most of us have our social accounts in all major social networks. People consider their time precious and prefer to use their social accounts for login purpose rather than to register for a new account and password. Millions of websites now facilitate the users by social login feature, considering the fact that the traditional approach of registration and password system is no longer scalable.

The major pluses of social login are:

  • Speedy signup: Users no need to type anything, they will just allow the system to access their existing social account credentials.

Steps for integration:

Step1: Goto http://www.apptha.com/magento/social-login

Step2: Download the extension. (Compatible with Magento 1.5, 1.6.0, 1.6.1, 1.6.2 and


Step3: Login to admin panel.

Step4: Go to System >> Magento Connect >> Magento Connect Manager.

Step5: Under the tab “Direct package file upload” click Choose file and Upload the package “AppthaSocialLogin-0.1.0.tgz”.

Step6: Click the refresh button after installing the package.

Step7: The installed module will be displayed in Manage Existing tab.

Step7: Now you have done the installation successfully.

You can just configure few simple settings and start using the Social Login module.
